Our aims...

Scaplen’s Community Players is a local theatre group that focuses on storytelling, drama and music. The drama that we produce is historical.

Our mission is to bring together local people from diverse communities to better understand our local history and shared culture.

Our main aims are to have fun doing the things we enjoy, to socialise and meet new people and to improve confidence and wellbeing. As well as being involved in rehearsals and performances we also offer the opportunity to take part in our activities. We aim to provide equality of opportunity for our members and wider communities to learn new skills or enhance existing skills in all aspects of theatrical productions, through the provision of workshops, informative talks, play readings and demonstrations.

If you are interested in local history, acting, storytelling, singing, backstage, front of house or would like to be a social member it would be great to hear from you. No previous experience is necessary.

All members will receive regular Newsletters. These will include information about our next production, auditions, workshops and social events. Members will also be able to buy discounted tickets for Scaplen’s Community Players performances.
